🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️Fairies at Hen Wen? …Almost!

We’ve had an exciting new arrival buzzing around his week, a stunning Broad-bodied Chaser dragonfly, and the first one we’ve ever spotted here!

With its bright golden body, sparkling wings and lightning-fast flying skills, it looked more like something from a fairy tale than the Welsh countryside. Honestly, for a moment we thought the fairies had finally moved in.

These amazing dragonflies are real show-offs in the sunshine, zipping, hovering and patrolling like tiny helicopters with attitude. Seeing one here is a real treat and a lovely sign of the wildlife thriving around the site.

It’s moments like this that make Hen Wen so special, you never quite know what nature is going to surprise you with next.

So keep your eyes peeled during your stay… the fairies might not be far behind after all.
